Resident's Welcome Garden Shed to Their Backyard

Our Kingsway location was very fortunate to have the opportunity to receive a brand new, built on site, shed for their backyard from the Women in Carpentry Program. The Women in Carpentry Program is run in partnership with the Township of Huron-Kinloss, the UBC Local 2222 Carpenter's Union, VPI, Fanshawe College, Employment Ontario, the Government of Ontario, and the Government of Canada. Their goal is to diversify the employee base of the carpentry trade by providing women with hands-on skills and certifications needed.

The Women in Carpentry program worked very diligently on the shed through all types of weather, making it possible for this project to happen. We would like to thank them for their generosity, and for considering our non-profit organization for their thoughtful donation. Our Kingsway residents have big plans to store their gardening supplies in the shed during the winter months to keep them in tip top shape for each gardening season.
